Pull Push Inside 'V-90°' - Cones Dribbling Drills for U10-U11

This drill builds on the Pull Push Inside 'V90°' (Static Ball Controls Drills for U8-U9).

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Place the ball between the first two cones (or before the first).
  2. Stand behind the ball perpendicular to the direction of the cones.
  3. Reach for the ball with the right foot.
  4. At the same time:
    1. Pull the ball back with the right foot.
    2. Turn the body 45° to the right.
  5. Push the ball with the inside of the right foot.
  6. Close in on the ball.
  7. Reach for the ball with the left foot.
  8. At the same time:
    1. Pull the ball back with the left foot.
    2. Turn the body 45° to the left.
  9. Push the ball with the inside of the left foot.
  10. Continue steps 3-9.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Pull the ball back after the ball passes between the cones or when it passes the next cone.
  2. Try to push the ball in the middle between two cones.
  3. Try to stay parallel to the direction of the cones on the other pull-push move.
  4. Make sure there is enough space between the feet to push the ball in the wanted direction.
  5. Turn your hips wide open on the push.
