Slide In Inside Touch - Cones Dribbling Drills for U12-U13

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Place the ball to the right and before the first cone in the direction of the cones.
  2. Stand behind the ball.
  3. Slide the ball sideways to the left foot with the inside of the right foot.
  4. Push the ball parallel to the cones with the inside of the left foot.
  5. Slide the ball sideways to the right foot with the inside of the left foot.
  6. Push the ball parallel to the cones with the inside of the right foot.
  7. Continue steps 3-6.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Try to slide the ball nicely sideways and slide straight between the cones.
  3. Keep the ball parallel to the cones when pushing the ball.
  4. Start slow and increase the speed step by step.
