Shuffle Spin Out Inside Cut (Shuffle Elastico) - Fast Footwork Drills for U10-U11
Tutorial
This drill builds on Spin Out Inside Cut Stop (Elastico Stop) (Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9).
When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand behind the ball.
- Shufflle 3 times.
- On the fourth count bring the right foot to the inside of the ball.
- Rotate the ball from the inside to the outside with the lower part of the laces.
- Cut the ball back as soon as the right foot gets on the outside of the ball.
- Reposition your support foot (left) towards the ball.
- Bring the left foot to the inside of the ball.
- Rotate the ball from the inside to the outside with the lower part of the laces.
- Cut the ball back as soon as the left foot gets on the outside of the ball. This is the first count.
- Shuffle 3 times.
- On the fifth count, perform the elastico as described above with the left foot.
- Continue step 1-11.
Things to watch out for:
- Find your personal sweet spot on your feet to make the ball spin.
- It requires a light (but firm enough) touch on the ball to perform the spin.
- By counting in uneven steps, the player alternates between the left and right foot to start the new elastico.
