Slide Behind Backwards - Dynamic Ball Mastery Drills for U10-U11

This drill builds on the Slide Behind (Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11).

When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand behind the ball.
- Roll the ball out with the right foot.
- Slide the ball behind the support foot with the right foot.
- At the same time:
- Roll the ball out with the left foot.
- Reposition the right foot backwards which becomes the support foot.
- Slide the ball behind the support foot with the left foot.
- At the same time:
- Roll the ball out with the right foot.
- Reposition the left foot backwards which becomes the support foot.
- Slide the ball behind the support foot with the right foot.
- Continue step 4-7.
Things to watch out for:
- Try to perform the drill as smooth as possible.
- Start slow and increase the speed when the move can be done flawlessly.
- Don't slide the ball forward behind the support foot.
- As soon as the foot performing the slide touches the ground, take over with the other foot.
