Take Reverse Cut - Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11

Tutorial

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand to the right of the ball.
  2. Take the ball to the left with the outside of the left foot.
  3. Lift the body up from the left (now support) foot.
  4. Bring your right foot behind the left leg and cut the ball just after the ball with the right foot.
  5. Make the left foot the support foot and raise the right foot.
  6. Take the ball to the right with the outside of the right foot.
  7. Lift the body up from the right (now support) foot.
  8. Bring your left foot behind the right leg and cut the ball just after the ball with the left foot.
  9. Make the right foot the support foot and raise the left foot.
  10. Continue steps 2-9.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Make sure there is enough room to take the ball after the reverse cut to change the direction.
  2. Try to lock the ball within the curve of the laces when performing the reverse cut.
