Reverse Pull Behind Drag Roll - Static Ball Control Drills for U12-U13

When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand behind the ball (at a 45° angle).
- Pull the ball with the left foot towards the laces (a bit to the inside) of the right foot.
- Reposition the right foot forward to let the ball pass behind.
- Line up the left foot behind the right foot to stop the ball with the inside of the left foot.
- Perform a Drag Roll with the right foot.
- Pull the ball with the right foot towards the laces (a bit to the inside) of the left foot.
- Reposition the left foot forward to let the ball pass behind.
- Line up the right foot behind the left foot to stop the ball with the inside of the right foot.
- Perform a Drag Roll with the left foot.
- Continue steps 2-9.
Things to watch out for:
- Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
- Stay at the same position and pull in a 'V'.
- Pull straight with the forefoot to the support foot (a bit on the inside).
- Stay clear of the ball by pointing the toes down.
- Create a 'channel' the ball can travel through.
- The Drag Roll should be a fluid motion.
- The current step should flow fluently into the next.
- Begin slow and increase the speed gradually.
