Pull Push Inside 'V-90°' Opposite Foot - Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand behind the ball at an angle of 45° with the ball in front of the right foot.
  2. Pull the ball with the mid-sole of the right foot.
  3. At the same time:
    1. Jump on the left foot.
    2. Turn to the left.
    3. Position the supporting foot (right) in the direction of the intended path of the following push.
  4. Push the ball with the inside of the left foot.
  5. Reposition the support foot (right).
  6. Pull the ball with the mid-sole of the left foot.
  7. At the same time:
    1. Jump on the right foot.
    2. Turn to the right .
    3. Position the supporting foot (left) in the direction of the intended path of the following push.
  8. Push the ball with the inside of the right foot.
  9. Reposition the support foot (left).
  10. Continue steps 2-9.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Stay at the same position during the exercise.
  3. Maintain the same 'V' during the entire exercise.
  4. 'Jump, Turn & Push'. Position the support foot in the same direction of the path of the intended push.
  5. Pull the ball in the path of the intended push.
  6. Keep enough space between both feet for a comfortable push.

TOP
