Pull Back Pull Behind - Cones Dribbling Drills for U12-U13

This drill builds on the Pull Behind (Static Ball Controls Drills for U10-U11) and the Pull Behind (Cones Dribbling Drills for U10-U11) but requires more precision which makes it a challenging drill.
When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand just next to the right of the first cone with the ball in front of the right foot.
- Pull the ball back with the right foot.
- At the same time:
- Pull the ball back with the right foot.
- Jump forward on the left foot (support foot) to make room for the ball.
- Push the ball with the inside of the right foot behind the support foot (left).
- At the same time:
- Jump backwards diagonally to place the right foot to the left side of the next cone.
- Perform a step-on with the left foot.
- Pull the ball back with the left foot.
- At the same time:
- Pull the ball back with the left foot.
- Jump forward on the right foot (support foot) to make room for the ball.
- Push the ball with the inside of the left foot behind the support foot (right).
- At the same time:
- Jump backwards diagonally to place the left foot to the right side of the next cone.
- Perform a step-on with the right foot.
- Continue step 2-9.
Things to watch out for:
- This drill requires precision. Make sure to aim for 90° angles in order to avoid the cones.
- Try to aim for the middle between the cones.
- Place the cones further apart (60cm - 2ft).
- Stay in the rhythm by repositioning the feet constantly.
- Pull the ball past the cone on the first pull while the second (pull behind) will go through the cones.
