Shuffle Stop Take Tutorial

This exercise builds on the Shuffle Stop.

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Shuffle the ball three times (in order to constantly switch feet) and on the fourth count, stop the ball with the left foot by means of a Toe Tap.
  2. Directly after the Toe Tap, take the ball sideways with the left foot.
  3. Stop the ball with the inside of the left foot. This counts as the first shuffle of the next sequence.
  4. On the fourth count, stop the ball with the right foot by means of a toe tap.
  5. Directly after, take the ball sideways with the right foot.
  6. Stop de ball with the inside of the right foot. This counts again as the first shuffle of the next sequence.
  7. The cycle repeats from here on (see step 1).

Things to watch out for:

Shuffle Stop Take Outside Laces

  1. Repeat the sequence of four counts.
  2. Take the ball with a light touch with the outside of the laces.
  3. Make sure there is enough space between the feet to take the ball to the side.
  4. Stay on a straight line while going sideways. Try not to move forwards or backwards.
