Roll In Out Front Behind Roll Over - Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11

This drill is an extension of the Roll In Out Front Behind (Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11) and builds on the Roll In (Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9), Roll Out (Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9), Roll In Out (Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9) and the Roll Over (Static Ball Control Drills for U8-U9).
When starting with the right foot:
(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)
- Stand behind the ball (ball before right foot).
- Roll out in front of left foot ( with the outside of right foot).
- At the same time:
- Jump forward on the support foot (left foot) to place it next to the ball.
- Roll in next to the left foot (with the inside of right foot).
- At the same time:
- Jump forward on the support foot (left foot) to place it in front of to the ball.
- Roll out behind the left foot ( with the tip of right foot).
- At the same time:
- Jump backwards on the support foot (left foot) to place it next to the ball.
- Roll in next to the left foot (with the inside of right foot).
- At the same time:
- Jump backwards on the support foot (left foot) to place it behind the ball.
- Roll over in front of left foot (with the outside of right foot).
- Continue steps 2-6 alternating between both feet.
Things to watch out for:
- Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
- Try to stay in the same rhythm.
- Keep contact with the ball at all times except after the roll over to switch between the feet.
