Reverse Roll Over - Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11

Tutorial

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand in front of the ball with the ball just behind the outside of the left ankle.
  2. Lay the outside of the tip of the right foot on the ball.
  3. Roll the ball to the right by means of a pulling motion.
  4. Step to the right and lift the left foot.
  5. Reach for the ball with the outside of the tip of the left foot as soon as the ball passes the right ankle.
  6. Roll the ball to the left by means of a pulling motion.
  7. Step to the left and lift the right foot.
  8. Reach for the ball with the outside of the tip of the right foot as soon as the ball passes the right ankle.
  9. Continue steps 2-8.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit to keep your balance.
  2. Try to roll on a straight line behind the ankles.
  3. Use the outside part of the tip of your foot to maintain control of the ball.
