Slide In Inside Stop - Static Ball Control Drills for U10-U11

When starting with the right foot:

(Switch left and right below when starting with the left foot)

  1. Stand behind the ball (the ball in front of the right foot).
  2. Slide the ball with the inside of the right foot to the left foot.
  3. Stop the ball with the inside of the left foot.
  4. Reposition the right foot.
  5. Slide the ball with the inside of the left foot to the right foot.
  6. Stop the ball with the inside of the right foot.
  7. Reposition the left foot.
  8. Continue step 2-7

Things to watch out for:

  1. Don't stand rigid on the legs but flex the knees a bit.
  2. Slide the ball as fast and as smooth as you can between the feet.
  3. Stop the ball without letting it jump or bounce away.
  4. Stay on the same straight line as best as possible.
